Anna Wallsten is a postdoctoral researcher at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI), Map Unit in Stockholm, Sweden. She holds a doctoral degree from the department of Thematic Studies, Linköping university, Sweden. With an interdisciplinary background she addresses research within the field of sustainable transitions, citizen engagements and future studies. Her current research focuses on issues concerning the digitalization of the transport system and the institutional capacity of public actors to steer the development towards achieving long term societal objectives. At K2 she is a project leader of a study focusing on transport related social disadvantage. The project will pinpoint new mobility concepts adapted for these groups and analyze how they can be implemented in practice.
