Ellen Lagrell is a researcher in Human Geography at the University of Gothenburg. Her research interests centre on the role of mobility in everyday life, with a particular focus on the private car and the preconditions for mobility transitions. Previous work focuses on the activities and social practices that make demands on mobility, such as parenting, consumption, and leisure activities. In her current research, Lagrell focuses on children’s travel to school and organised leisure activities, primarily from a parents’ perspective.
