Ida Kristoffersson is a Senior Research Leader at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI), specializing in the modelling and analysis of passenger transport, and a Docent at Mid Sweden University. Her research focuses on the further development of large-scale passenger transport models to improve transport forecasting and thereby provide better decision support for transport planning and policy analysis. Ida’s research is typically multimodal in nature, with a particular emphasis on behavioural models of mode choice, destination choice, and trip generation. In response to declining response rates in travel surveys, Ida has recently conducted extensive research on complementary data sources to survey data, such as public transport smart card data. She also leads research projects on accessibility and regional development.
