Vanessa Stjernborg is a Senior Lecturer at Lund University whose research focuses on mobility, accessibility, and social sustainability in both urban and rural areas. Her work particularly examines transport equity, transport poverty, and how the needs of different groups can be better integrated into transport and spatial planning. She primarily employs qualitative methods, including co-creative, participatory, and futures-oriented approaches, to strengthen the involvement and influence of diverse groups in planning processes. A particular area of interest is the mobility, social participation, and access to services and activities among older adults.
