I am a doctoral student in the Department of Computer Science and Media Technology at Malmö University. I work with micro-level simulations of Demand-Responsive Transport (DRT), trying to understand how a DRT service can be efficiently implemented and what are the consequences of its introduction. DRT has been long considered as a social service aimed at travellers with mobility restrictions, but recently it was reenvisioned as a service for the general public (or even a combination of both). To evaluate the possibilities of such a DRT we aim to study it from the position of sustainability: assessing its operational costs, quality of service as well as accessibility level for different travel groups.
