K2 Knowledge lunch: What can we learn from comparing two different DRT systems on two separate continents?
What insights can be gained from comparing two demand-responsive transport (DRT) systems implemented in different contexts and on different continents?
At this Knowledge lunch, Lena Hiselius, researcher at K2 and Lund University (LTH), will present a study conducted together with colleagues on the DRT systems MARTA Reach in Atlanta, USA, and Plusresa in Skåne, Sweden. These two initiatives have been particularly interesting to compare due to their differing geographical and cultural contexts, as well as the distinct user groups that utilise the services. The researchers identify valuable lessons from both projects, particularly in areas such as communication during implementation, service frequency and integration with conventional public transport, and solutions for first- and last-mile connectivity.
