Ongoing regional enlargement is desirable from a societal perspective but involves increased transportation. How transport-efficient means of transport can be developed and combined to accommodate enlargement are important research issues. The aim of this project is to investigate how bicycle and public transport can be combined in ways that have the potential to reduce car use with a focus on regional commuting. The overall goal of the project is to help accelerate the development of combined mobility with high transport efficiency for regional commuting. The project has an applied character and intends to result in planning tools, concrete mobility solutions, business arrangements and guidelines for combined mobility between bicycle and public transport for regional commuting.
