Helene Lidestam holds a PhD in optimisation and is Professor of Production Economics at Linköping University. She is also a Senior Researcher at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) and Research Lead at K2, with particular responsibility for research on Organisation and Collaboration. Helene has many years of experience conducting research on public transport and collaborating with regional public transport authorities, transport operators, and industry organisations in the sector. Her research focuses on sustainable public transport in general, and on flexibility, environmental performance, and costs in particular. Many of her research questions stem from public procurement processes and the challenges associated with them.
