Russell Cannon’s doctoral project focuses on measures to increase the share of active and sustainable modes of transport in urban areas, with particular emphasis on regulatory aspects and citizen engagement. The dissertation is conducted in close collaboration with researchers involved in the JPI Urban Europe project EASIER. The aim of EASIER is to attract new users and increase the share of shared journeys using sustainable modes of transport, at the expense of private car use.
