Vendela is a doctoral candidate at the Department of Technology and Society at LTH and at K2. Her research focuses on transitions and technological change in public transport, and on how public procurement as a framework and instrument both shapes and is shaped by new technologies. In her doctoral thesis, she places particular emphasis on the electrification of urban bus services and on how different norms and established working practices may change in connection with this transition. Vendela draws on transition theories and works primarily with qualitative methods, with the aim of contributing to knowledge and experience exchange in support of balanced technological transitions.
