Covid-19 and changed conditions for the financing of public transport

The project will investigate how the costs and revenues in public transport develops as a consequence of the Corona pandemic, both in the shorter- and longer-term perspectives and how this influence the possibility to reach political aims for public transport. The study will focus on the three metropolitan regions in Sweden, but also include three metropolitan regions outside Sweden in order to make comparisons. The longer-term impacts will be analyzed through scenario analysis. The project starts before the summer 2020 and will be finalized during the spring 2021.
