Strategic governance and transition capacity in public transport

The aim of the project is to study and evaluate policy instruments at the city and regional level which are used to strengthen the role of public transport and facilitate a transition to a low-carbon and energy efficient public transport. The focus is on formal and informal policy instruments for technology development, increased use of renewable fuels and more effective planning. An important goal is to develop guidelines and policy recommendations for the design and implementation of policy instruments in Swedish cities and regions.
