Helene Lidestam

Helene Lidestam has a Ph.D. in Optimization and is a professor of production economics at Linköping University. She is also a senior researcher at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) and research leader at K2 with a specific responsibility for research related to "Organization and Collaboration." Helene has extensive experience from research on public transport and collaboration with public transport authorities, traffic operators and industry organizations.

Fredrik is associate professor, reader in Technology and Society, at Transport and Roads, Lund university. Fredrik is interested in the dynamics between different levels of decision-making and different organizations and actors in the transition to a more sustainable transport system. Many of the K2-projects that Fredrik has been involved in have focused on collaboration between stakeholders in various processes, such as planning new infrastructure and new systems (e.g.

Jan is docent in computer science at Malmö University. His research is about digitalisation including AI, optimization and simulation as support to decision making and development of services and information systems. Areas of application concern public transport, transport of goods and internet of things. In his research at K2, Jan focuses all on demand-driven public transport and disturbance management.

John Hultén is Director of K2. He holds a phd in political science from Lund university and has conducted research on the political decision-making processes, transport planning and funding. He has more than 15 years of experience from working with transportation at regional and national levels of government, for example at the Swedish Transport Administration and the Ministry of Transportation.
